Rochelle Berwick

Rochelle has been a performer most of her life, starting when she was just five years old. Her mom enrolled her in ballet class and she instantly fell in love with it. In addition to ballet, Rochelle also trained and competed as a rhythmic gymnast. When she was 14 though, she decided to focus her training 100% on ballet. Rochelle’s core ballet training was at Inland Valley Ballet Academy. She danced and competed throughout middle school and high school and continued to compete in college by being a member of the San Diego State Dance Team. In addition to her training in in her home town, Rochelle has trained at summer intensives with Joffrey Ballet (New York City), LA Ballet (Los Angeles), and Bolshoi Ballet (Moscow).

Once Rochelle graduated with a B.S. from San Diego State University, she joined the circus! Rochelle performs for different entertainment companies as an aerialist and contortionist throughout southern California and the world. In addition to performing, Rochelle coaches at San Diego Circus Center and Aerial Revolution as the head flexibility coach and also Champion Rhythmics (rhythmic gymnastics). She also started her own flexibility business, Functional Flexibility, where she teaches workshops and privates to different students and gyms throughout the country. Rochelle works with and trains people of all ages and levels and truly loves sharing her knowledge of flexibility with others.
